I provide independent consulting advice to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and venture capitalists, in Drug Discovery (from early research through to clinical Proof of Concept), CNS diseases and pain, Portfolio Management and Company Strategy. I have 22 years’ experience of working for large Pharma (GSK) (1978 to 2001), where I was a director in Drug Discovery. Since leaving GSK, I have many years of experience of consulting for the small Pharma/biotechnology industry (2001 to present). During that time, I have: Co-founded two drug discovery companies, Ionix Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Therasci Currently chair the board for Celentyx Ltd Have held several non-executive directorships, including Curidium plc and Plethora Solutions plc, Sirus Ltd, Ionix Ltd and Therasci Ltd Co-founded Theradeas Ltd, a company providing ideas for novel drug discovery programmes; participated in signing of several deals Co-founded ‘Apex-Pharmalyticon’, and participated in portfolio management projects for 3 mid-sized Pharmaceutical companies Sat on many scientific advisory boards eg Biowisdom, Lectus, Braincells, Bionomics. Carried out consultancy/due diligence for many companies and investors.
