LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT

One Nucleus is the membership organisation for Life Science and Healthcare companies centred on the Greater London and Cambridge region. We are a not-for-profit company based at Granta Park, Cambridge.

This varied role is ideal for someone who is new to learning and development, has a positive can do attitude and is a team player. This is a new role, designed to support to our Head of Conferences & Professional Development on a range of activities serving our One Nucleus members, with responsibilities which include:

  • Work independently and as part of the team to meet deadlines and ensure courses run smoothly, delegates are satisfied and the courses are within budget.
  • Growing the One Nucleus training business activity against agreed targets
  • Management of One Nucleus Advisory Groups 
  • Support for the Business Development Team on the delivery of leadership events
  • Support with other One Nucleus activities as required

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following attributes:
  

  • Strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of organisations and stakeholders
  • Strong organisational/self-management skills/attention to detail
  • Plenty of initiative and drive
  • Enjoyment of having a varied role which requires flexibility and adaptability on a daily basis
  • Ability to work both with and without supervision

This is a newly created role in the team and an ideal opportunity for someone to engage in and learn about all aspects of the business. It will also mean interaction with our highly valued Life Science and healthcare members with the opportunity to work as part of a team as well as importantly having specific areas of responsibility.

Salary £17,000 to £20,000 depending upon experience.
