LEADING science companies and innovation parks will once again open their doors to showcase their contribution to sci-tech innovation when Cambridge Wide Open Day returns for 2024.
The event – organised annually by Hauxton-based life sciences and technology firm, o2h Group - offers a unique opportunity for ecosystem employers/ employees, sci-tech enthusiasts, and residents alike to explore Cambridge’s world-class science and technology facilities, and to meet the people behind the innovations, all in one day.
This year’s event will be held on Wednesday 12th June, and will build on the success of last year’s inaugural event, which encouraged over 600 visitors to discover the plethora of pioneering life science, biotech and technology organisations on their doorstep. As part of the Be Curious theme, attendees get to See - Learn - Invest through a series of tours, talks, workshops, presentations, pitches, round table discussions, new technologies, masterclasses, pop-up stands, product demonstrations, and company showcases held across Greater Cambridge.
Hauxton Mill, where the o2h Group is based, will additionally be holding pitch events, workshops and masterclasses throughout the day, and hosting a garden party reception for all visitors and participants at the end of the day.

Babraham Research Campus, the UK's leading campus to support early-stage bioscience enterprises, was one of the organisations participating in last year’s inaugural event and will be welcoming visitors again this June.
Samantha Jackson, the campus’ Marketing and Business Development Manager said: “Last year’s Cambridge Wide Open Day was enormously successful. This year, even more of the companies on the Campus will be opening their doors and lifting the lid on the fantastic, pioneering scientific work they are doing.
“There is so much that happens here on this campus that we want to share with everyone, and so the opportunity to open our doors to welcome residents from the Babraham village community, along with those who may be active in the sector in other ways, is an opportunity not to be missed. There will be tours of our campus and talks from companies and industry partners located here. We are also excited to provide tours of the grounds and the estate, to showcase our sustainability and ecology work.”
Parks and innovation spaces across the city will be opening their doors, as will individual businesses keen to showcase their work to their peers across the industry, and those that live in proximity to their office.
One of those companies is Enhanc3D Genomics which has been going through exponential growth in the last couple of years as it creates new applications to improve human healthcare.
Interim Chief Executive Officer, Dr Hazel Jones, told us: “Our technology will have a wide-ranging impact on therapeutic discovery and we are keen to engage with as many people in the local ecosystem as possible, and that includes residents. Cambridge Wide Open Day gives us a unique opportunity to do this, and we are thrilled to be able to extend our presence from last year.”
